The energy used in a Google search

For all the statistics nerds out there, Google has estimated that the amount of energy used in one search is about 1kJ of energy and emits about 0.2 grams of carbon dioxide. They give a handy dandy little table to show how many Google searches amount to simple everyday actions. I wish other companies and industries were more forthcoming with this type of information, but not many have the resources of Google. [Insert evil "big brother" laugh here]
